LEGIONIARES ELITE ALUM KAUFFELDT SIGNS WITH IBL PANTHERS!

Oshawa Legionaires Elite alum Jason Kauffeldt signs to play this summer with the Kitchener Panthers of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL).   The talented OF  had a breakout second season for Houghton College NCAA D3. He hit .256 with 32 runs and 31 hits, producing five doubles, one triple and two home runs. He added 30 RBI and stole 18 of 20 bases. From his outfield position, he had a fielding percentage of .949, tallying 70 putouts in 78 chances. He was also named an Empire 8 All Conference selection in 2021. Baseball Oshawa is extremely proud of all its grads and wishes Jason all the best this summer in the IBL.  The Intercounty Baseball League is the top-level baseball league in Canada, boasting ex-major league professional and elite NCAA college baseball players. The 2021 season will mark the 103rd season of the Intercounty Baseball League. The IBL is the fifth-longest continually operated baseball league in the world and serves as a valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 40 Intercounty Baseball League players have advanced to Major League Baseball or returned to the IBL following their MLB careers, including Fergie Jenkins, John Axford, Chris Leroux, Scott Diamond, Peter Orr, Paul Spoljaric, Rich Butler, Rob Butler, and Rob Ducey.
