Aaron has been coaching with Baseball Oshawa for nine years including more recently the lead role with our 16U and 17U Elite teams.  Over the past few years Aaron has taken a keen interest in Arm Care and with his desire for ongoing growth and development became certified in Foundations of Pitching through Driveline Baseball.  The commitment to provide top level training for our players is shown by Oshawa sending him to Seattle and the Driveline headquarters to complete his certification.

Aaron led his Oshawa Legioniares 17U elite team to the 2021 PBLO 18U Regular season pennant with a 13-9 record. Quite an accomplishment playing a year up all season.

Aaron now co-ordinates and leads our Legionaires Elite  Arm Care Program developed for all our Elite teams that run from December through to April annually. Aaron also maintains his certifications for coaching through Baseball Canada’s coaching certification program. 

Aaron has coached 3 previous EOBA Championship teams as well as coaching the EOBA All-star team to a Championship in the Bob Humphries Memorial tournament.  He also has a passion for grass roots baseball and has led our indoor free intro to baseball clinics for youth for the past 6 years teaching and developing our younger youth.

Tony has been coaching with Baseball Oshawa for 15 years having previously played in the organization since childhood. Recently, Tony has coached 14U, 15U, 16U levels for the Legionaires. As player and coach Tony has participated in many EOBA and OBA championships including a number of titles. Having a team participate in the 2019 Ray Carter Cup 15 U Nationals (hosted by Oshawa) has been a highlight of his coaching career.

Major impact on the 17u team and its 2021 PBLO 18U regular season title.

Inspired by mentors such as Jim Lutton, Sam Dempster and Alfie Payne, Tony is a certified NCCP coach, dedicated to watching baseball grow locally. As player Tony played for the Oshawa Legionaires and finished off playing for the Oshawa Dodgers of the Inter-County Baseball League. Tony is proud that many players he has coached, continue to play and participate in the game and continue to give back.

Connor has been in the Baseball Oshawa organization since he was 4 years old.  His father, the late Troy May, was president of both the Oshawa Legion Minor Baseball Association and Eastern Ontario Baseball Association and founder of the Oshawa Dodgers Intercounty Baseball Club.

Connor has been in the Baseball Oshawa organization since he was 4 years old.  His father, the late Troy May, was president of both the Oshawa Legion Minor Baseball Association and Eastern Ontario Baseball Association and founder of the Oshawa Dodgers Intercounty Baseball Club. 

Baseball certainly runs in the family. His older brother Jamie both played and coached in the Baseball Oshawa organization and is now coaching with the Toronto Mets 15U team.   As a player, Connor has had many achievements. He was the National Pitch Hit & Run champion and Baseball Ontario Player of the Year in 2011. Connor won a National Championship with the North York Blues bantam team in 2013. In 2017 was Durham College baseball rookie of the year and Freshman Athlete of the Year. In 2019 won a Junior National Championship with the Oshawa Legionaires and a National College Baseball Championship with Durham College. Connor is currently in his fourth year coaching in the Baseball Oshawa organization and shares his knowledge and love for the game every time he enters the park.

Kadeev Bembridge is currently an Assistant Coach for the Oshawa Legionnaires Elite 17u team. He is a Former Outfielder product of the Pickering Red Sox Junior Team that was the 2015 Toronto Baseball Association Champions.  He was an outfielder for the Durham College Lords of the OCAA from 2015-2017.

Kadeev Bembridge is currently an Assistant Coach for the Oshawa Legionnaires Elite 17u team. He is a Former Outfielder product of the Pickering Red Sox Junior Team that was the 2015 Toronto Baseball Association Champions.  He was an outfielder for the Durham College Lords of the OCAA from 2015-2017.

List of awards include 2016-2017 Durham Lords Men’s Baseball Team TOP GPA Award and 2015-2017 OCAA ALL-ACADEMIC team award.  He completed a business degree from Trent University.

As a student athlete Kadeev was involved with the Oshawa baseball kids free clinic that focused on player development. This is one of the main reasons why he decided to pursue coaching after his collegiate career. He enjoys providing guidance, skills, and teachable moments to his players and watching them develop their potential.

Shawn is embarking on his 6th  season as a Head coach in the Oshawa Legionaires program. And skippered the 15U Legionaires Elite to a second place finish in the regular season and the PBLO Championship in 2021. All in just their first year in the PBLO.  Over the past 4 seasons he has also been part of Oshawa’s board of directors. He has volunteered countless hours towards youth baseball in Oshawa. From winter development camps to helping with many special events with Baseball Oshawa,  Shawn has devoted himself to the development of the youth baseball players in the Oshawa community.

Shawn spent his childhood playing youth baseball in Scarborough with Wexford baseball.  Many years later he took his knowledge of the game and  began coaching within the Baseball Oshawa organization. In his first year he was asked to take the role as head coach for one of Oshawa’s house league teams in which he was recognized with the coach of the year award. After that season he then joined the 2006 Legionaires coaching staff as an assistant. Spending his time in his role as the infield instructor and 3rd base coach. He was an assistant coach with the 2016 EOBA Allstar team in the fal that travelled to the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SCl.  In 2017 Shawn took over the role as head coach and has been developing the 2006 AAA age group ever since. Shawn is also a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)

 Shawn is looking forward to the 2022 PBLO season ahead and the continued development of it’s  players  within the program here in Oshawa.

Mike is a Toronto native with 20+ years of baseball instruction and coaching experience. Mike has assisted coaching teams as a Hitting and OF coach in the United States (JV team in Bethlehem, Pa) teams in the OBA, and in the Fergie Jenkins Showcase League.

Mike is a Toronto native with 20+ years of baseball instruction and coaching experience. Mike has assisted coaching teams as a Hitting and OF coach in the United States (JV team in Bethlehem, Pa) teams in the OBA, and in the Fergie Jenkins Showcase League.

He was a major impact in the Oshawa Legioniares 15U PBLO Championship title in 2021.

In 1995 he was able to secure a baseball scholarship to attend Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He had 4 successful years while playing down south, helping the Pioneers to the NAIA World Series in 1998 while hitting .400, with 11 home runs and 69 RBI’s. The Pioneers were 46-4-2 leading into the tournament.

He was later inducted into the Point Park University Sports Hall of Fame in 2011 with many offensive achievements.

Driving force behind the move of the Legionaires Elite programs to the PBLO. In addition to serving as President of Baseball Oshawa, Ken serves as the Director of Oshawa's Elite Baseball programs. The longtime successful Coach with the Legionaires rep program and Elite program at the 16U, 17U and 18U levels also has led Oshawa teams to numerous tournaments in the United States and other provinces in Canada.

Driving force behind the move of the Legionaires Elite programs to the PBLO. In addition to serving as President of Baseball Oshawa, Ken serves as the Director of Oshawa's Elite Baseball programs. The longtime successful Coach with the Legionaires rep program and Elite program at the 16U, 17U and 18U levels also has led Oshawa teams to numerous tournaments in the United States and other provinces in Canada. 

Some other coach appointments in the past  include taking EOBA All-Star Fall Travel teams to Ripken Experience tournaments in Myrtle Beach, SC as well as several trips to Florida leading EBLO 18U All-star teams representing Canada to the World Comes to Palm Beach International tournament. Competion against teams from the US, Columbia, Panama, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and the Bahamas while playing at the world class spring training facilities of the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals. 

Well connected in the provincial and national baseball scene he was also the driving force behind the launch of OCAA College baseball in the province as well as bringing and successfully hosting the Baseball Canada 15U National Championships to Oshawa in 2018 and 2019, which was a milestone first for Baseball Oshawa. Named an honourable mention in Bob Elliott's Canadian Baseball Network annual 100 Most Influential Canadians in baseball 2018-2022.

Scott Smith

Scott is in his first year with the Oshawa Legionaires Elite program and serves as the lead assistant for the 15U team. The former NCAA DI catcher at Drexel University brings a wealth of baseball experience incuding what it takes to make it to the college level. His experience and baseball knowledge will be a big benefit to the program. 

Griffin Oliver

Griffin Oliver is currently a shortstop with the Oshawa junior team, winning a national championship in 2019 and the Durham College Lords of the OCAA, a team that won the national college baseball championship in 2019, along with an Ontario silver medal. Oliver was an OCAA All-Star in 2019, batting .393, and named the Lords’ Most Valuable Player.

Griffin Oliver is currently a shortstop with the Oshawa junior team, winning a national championship in 2019 and the Durham College Lords of the OCAA, a team that won the national college baseball championship in 2019, along with an Ontario silver medal. He was Durham’s Rookie of the Year in 2018. He was also named an OCAA All-Academic in both 2018 and 2019.  Oliver’s time with Baseball Oshawa’s rep program dates back to 2009 with the 9U Legionaires. Griffin will be  an assistant coach for the Oshawa 15u Elite team.

Peter Houston

Peter takes on his first coaching assignment for the Oshawa Legionaires Elite program helping the 15U team.  The former speedy CF and crafty LHP for the Legionaires Elite program accepted a scholarship opportunity to pursue his academic and baseball goals at Cleary University.   Players will love his high baseball IQ and enthusiastic approach to the game.
