Jayson DesLauriers
Jay has coached with our Elite program since year one while coaching with Baseball Oshawa for 12 years. Currently the Head Coach for the 16U Elite team. He is the Director of Elite Baseball programs for the Oshawa Legionaires. Was named an honorable mention in Bob Elliott’s 2020 Canadian Baseball Network Most Influential Canadians in baseball. Recently appointed Vice President of the PBLO.

Serves as a Canadian recruiter for the Nomadic Baseball International program based out of Gilbert, Arizona. Was an assistant coach for the EBLO 16U All-star team that represented Canada at the World Comes to Palm Beach 2019 International 16u Tournament in West Palm Beach, Florida. While also serving on the coaching staff of the Oshawa Legioniares 2019 EOBA Championship team. Jay also finds time to focus on new training and development ideas for our Elite program while spending time leading special events such as Military Appreciation Week in Oshawa. Responsible for co-ordinating the Legionaires of season training programs and facilities.

Growing up in Quebec, Patrick Pelow played ball his whole life, playing more
Growing up in Quebec, Patrick Pelow played ball his whole life, playing more
competitively through highschool. Inheriting his love of baseball from his dad, Patrick is proud to come from a baseball family. Joining Baseball Oshawa as an assistant coach for the 2022/23 season, his previous coaching experience combined with his high baseball IQ made him a welcome addition. Pat helped coach the 15u AA team to a first place finish in regular season. With a focus on player development, Coach Pat has a knack for identifying each players strengths and areas for improvement. He has a proven ability to take players defensive skills to the next level and is excited to
continue to develop players in the Oshawa 15u Elite program this year.

Mark Cruise
Mark is a welcome addition to the Oshawa Legionaires elite program where he will serve as an assistant with the 15U level. Previously he was a Head coach in the Peterborough Minor Baseball Association rep program for 5 years. Mark also served as Head coach of the Peterborough Select team for one season. Two EOBA Championship titles and several tournament wins are on his resume.

With over 15 years of coaching experience with Baseball Oshawa, Aaron Marshall is a dedicated leader and mentor in the world of baseball. He is a certified coach with Driveline Arm Care and serves as the coordinator and leader of The Oshawa Legionaires Elite Arm Care Program, focusing on developing players’ skills and ensuring their physical well-being.
With over 15 years of coaching experience with Baseball Oshawa, Aaron Marshall is a dedicated leader and mentor in the world of baseball. He is a certified coach with Driveline Arm Care and serves as the coordinator and leader of The Oshawa Legionaires Elite Arm Care Program, focusing on developing players’ skills and ensuring their physical well-being.
Aaron’s commitment to success is evident in the numerous top finishes his teams have achieved over the years in the PBLO, including multiple EOBA Championships. His passion for grassroots baseball has driven him to dedicate endless hours to the growth of the sport, organizing and running free clinics to provide aspiring players with the tools and knowledge to excel.

Shawn Earle
Shawn is embarking on his 11th season as a coach in the Oshawa Legionaires program. For the past 5 seasons he skippered a very strong 2006 born age group through Oshawa’s Elite program. In 2021 he lead the team to Oshawa’s first PBLO championship. This season he will take on the role of assistant coach with the 15u elite team. In the past he has also been part of Oshawa’s board of directors. He has volunteered countless hours towards youth baseball in Oshawa. From winter development camps to helping with many special events with Baseball Oshawa, Shawn has devoted himself to the development of the youth baseball players in the Oshawa community.

Nick King
Nick King is a passionate and dedicated coach with a deep love for the game. While relatively new to coaching, Nick brings a wealth of experience as a former player, having won numerous championships throughout his career. His success on the field has fueled his desire to help others achieve their potential and succeed. With a keen understanding of the game, Nick is focused on developing strong fundamentals, fostering teamwork, and creating a winning culture. He is committed to guiding athletes to reach their highest level of performance, using his experience and enthusiasm to inspire and motivate his teams.
